The Next Big Thing In WT World
by NotFormer inthings got a bit lively after the agm leaks in october.
there was a lot of discussion going on on this board for a few months.
now that all the leaks have been more or less confirmed as policy, and we've had lively discussions at length concerning the changes, things seem to have slowed down here.. a few suggestions have been raised as to what might be the next changes, such as women being allowed to wear slacks (in the usa, anyway), decoupling from 1914 as an anchoring date and others.. so, what changes do you think will be announced this year?.

Can you openly express doubts in the congregation these days?
by Elena ini know of a lovely old sister who has been a jw for several decades now who openly expresses doubts about jw interpretations.. she does it in such a lovely way and everyone loves her.
she is such a sweet old soul, makes everyone happy around her.. she has said things like- even if we have got it wrong about this and that i still believe the bible is gods word”.
she answers up regularly and she goes on ministry groups but like most of us she is definitely jwlite, we don’t really do door to door work anymore.

Jwlite works best if you're discreet about it.

The Jehovah's Witness religion has ''Jumped the Shark''
by RULES & REGULATIONS inwhat does jump the shark mean?.
the phrase “jump the shark” is a term in pop culture that originated from the tv show “happy days” and is used to describe a decline in quality.
it refers to the moment when a tv show or other product has reached its peak and starts to decline in quality.

Inside of the ark is the safest place to be. It's the best place to nurture an eternal relationship with Jehovah and enjoy the many blessings of serving Him. If you're not in the ark, you're on your own.

Welcome back, sister(?). When you are assigned a Group Overseer, let him know you want to participate in the ministry ASAP. In the meantime, focus on your personal relationship with Jehovah. The point of this life is to love and be loved by Jehovah.

even with amalgamation of 2 congregations.
the elders are handling the microphones and there was only one comment from zoom at the watchtower.

My double Hall has 5 congregations meeting there and a COs residence. Our parking lot overflows and some of us have to park on the street. We're packed!

The real world can be brutal. JWs is a much safer place to be.

Retirement
by jehovaxx inthe difference is now blatantly obvious, older ones who went against direction of the gb and planned for retirement have relatively more comfortable lives.. those who trusted and followed gb direction never got further education or training, pioneered or spent most of their lives knocking on doors for free, making just enough to get by in a part time job.. if you followed direction from the gb then you thought the end was just around the corner so no need to plan for retirement.. now these ones have indeed got old which they were given the impression they never would.
they are a burden on others.
the state has to pay for them in their old age.

I went right down the 'middle of the road' and arranged for a modest retirement.
